Default Mukwas, Trung Nguyen and Mae Ploy. . .

I found the Indian section in one of the Asian markets-- It was down
the snack aisle, buried between all the cookies and crackers I don't
recognize.

Never knew there were that many kinds of lentils, flours, and such.
The bright green bag of Mukwas caught my eye. Hurray for me-- I
look it up when I get home and it is a snack. And a tasty one at
that. I like.

I don't know how I missed the Trung Nguyen coffee that dsi1
recommended months ago. I have some now and will try in the morning.

The Mae Ploy chili sauce that Steve recommended finally showed its
face, too. I'm relieved that it isn't all heat and no flavor--
The flavor is well settled in my mouth before I even got a feel of any
heat.. Nice stuff. I'm going to use it in one of those
smacked cucumber dishes.

Speaking of Steve-- I also picked up a bottle of Durian Essence. Not a
*bad* smell. [still haven't tried the Durian-- that will have to be a
special occasion. I figured the essence would do for now & it keeps
better]

The mangoes I'll try later, but I ate my first Ya Pear on the way
home. Those are so good, all I could think of was how good they
must be fresh off a tree in China. These don't have a lot of flavor,
but the texture, crispness and juiciness is perfect.
