Lin made:

Salmon patties
Mixed-rice pilaf
Corn-tomato salad
Steamed romano beans

It was all delicious. She didn't use canned salmon; we'd gotten a whole
salmon from a friend a few weeks ago, and the patties were made from scraps
we saved and froze after butchering out the fillets. This was an *excellent*
use of those scraps

We used to do that at the restaurant I used to work in- I also have a
carcass of a King salmon in my freezer intended for that very use!
Otherwise, it would be crab bait.
