You know, I just had second thoughts here :-) One of the dipping sauces
used for Steak Fondue is Curry Mayonnaise. Perhaps that might work for a
hot dog cooked any way you like.

Curry Mayonnaise is sometimes supposed to be made just by adding
uncooked curry powder to mayo but is much improved if the curry powder
is cooked until aromatic with a little chopped onion and lemon juice,
to taste, is added to the sauce.

I make curry mayo as a dipping sauce for fries: I cook the curry powder in
hot oil with chopped onions until aromatic, let it cool, then add the mayo
and lemon juice. I *think* that's what you probably do, but what you wrote
could also be interpreted as cooking the lemon juice along with the onion --
which is probably not what you meant.

Right you are; my grammar was a bit shaky :-) The lemon juice is added
to the curried mayo until it tastes as you like. The curried mayo
becomes more yellow and the taste intensifies if is left refrigerated
for about an hour before use.
