Sorry, no fruitcake recipe. No more cookbook!
I did get rid of a lot of my cookbooks when we moved in here because I had
no space to keep them. And a few of my favorites were so decrepit the pages were falling out. I believe the recipe was in the Meta Given's two set. It was this set depicted he http://www.ecrater.com/p/5962477/met...dia-of-cooking I had one other cookbook whose name escapes me. I want to say something like American Cookery but a search of that name doesn't bring up a familiar looking book. Would have been from the 1930's, 1940's or possibly the 1950's. Had a beige fabric color with (I believe) a red spine. Again, sorry. Shouldn't have promised the recipe without first checking to see that I had the book. I honestly don't remember throwing those books out, but in thinking about it am pretty sure I did. I tried to replace the Meta Given's for many years but could never find any in better shape than what I had. |
