Their bread tastes awful.

Which is among the reasons that my boycott of Subway continues.

There's a strip mall near my office that has, side-by-side, a Subway
and
a little Vietnamese restaurant. I always marvel that people will go
to
Subway when there's real food right next door.

Maybe they did Vietnamese the day before and now want something else?
Maybe they just want a mess of sandwiches to take back to work with them
for the group? Maybe they are afraid of Vietnamese food.. who the hell
knows?
Subway veggie subs aren't bad at all. I don't eat a lot of cold cuts.

anything from subway.

I think that just about anyone would get sick of the same food day after
day after day. Just think how much better that Vietnamese food would be
after having eaten at Subway.

Maybe they're in a hurry - got to cover 500 miles that day or get back
to work. Subways are quick and cheap. I look for them when on a long
road trip. At least you can SEE them building the 'sangwidge' - they
could be spittin in the Viet fare.

Where ever there is a Subway, there is a supermarket nearby with a deli
section that likely makes very good sandwiches. Most likely at a much
better volume, price and quality. Yes, that would be a generic
supermarket. I've rarely been disappointed--knowing what I was
getting--in such places.

You think that could never happen in a Subway (or any other fast food
place)? They bring those bins of ingredients from the back. Who knows
what has been added before you see it :P

Sp why would you assume an industrial chain restaurant is somehow
perfect? I would take anything over a subway.

The mom & pop places are also quick, less expensive and sell a better
quality product. Vietnamese would be a bonus for me if I were looking
for a sandwich and they made banh mi.

You just can't trust those little yellow devils ;-)
I'd still rather eat spit - in Viet fare than Subway dreck.
