I'm glad you found a technique that works for you. Beans have never
given me gas. My family loves beans and my mother cooked them often.
She fed us mashed up beans before we had teeth.

Beans never gave me gas either, but they do make me gas everybody
around. If I could learn to aim then I'd be as dangerous as "The
Spleen" in "Mystery Men".

This goes along with what many others say, that the more accustomed you are
to them, the less problem you have with gas. I have never had a problem with
it, and I have the beaniest pantry around.
