Default neighborly retaliation

If someone brings you a cake, you don't just give them back a clean
tupperware. They brought pineapple, they'll get marble. From boxes -
we are not fancy people. Not escalation, just retribution.
Neighborliness in the metaphore of war.

Peace, love, dove, dude.

Have you tried the Cake Mix Bible? I believe the author is Ann Byrn. It's
amazing what is done with plain ol' box cake.

I think I'd bring back something completely different, like arroz con
pollo.

I love cooking with wine.
Sometimes I even put it in the food.

Nice!

One of my coworkers has deployed to Iraq. Lin made some goodies for him this
weekend; we'll be shipping them off today. I doubt that there will be any
reciprocation, but it seemed like a nice thing to do for the guy: He's
married with mostly-grown children, and he VOLUNTEERED to take this 90-day
deployment which will take him away from his family until late February.
He'll miss Christmas, New Year, and Valentine's Day -- which means that I
WON'T miss those holidays, so this gesture is a way to thank him for that.
