Default O.T Cotaslim Commercials

These annoying commercials have been rapidly increasing their
frequency over every TV channel and radio station. Finally last week I
thought I might get a rest from them at least for a while when they
were ordered by the FTC to change their deceptive advertising.
Instead, ads from every other diet aid maker jumped in to fill the
gap. And now the revised Cortaslim ads are back to the same constant
tempo as before. Grrr.

Is this going on everywhere else as well or just here in CA?

At low points financially I've worked in the call centers that answer
the phones on crap products like that. The responders are either
desperate, clueless, or fools. I'm not familiar with the FTC rules on
the topic...probably something about people not grasping risk-free or
risk-free-trial and whinging to the AG about not being able to get the
stuff for free.

The only "rule" I'm familiar with is the FDA rule that a company selling
the snake oil can't make claims. Can't say, does, will, should, but
rathered *is designed to* *is formulated to* or *many people have seen*

What I'd love to see is the whole snake oil market go under as it did
when patent medicine went out. You can buy the shame shit at a
healthfood store for $12 that you can have delivered to your door in
three weeks time for $90 plus shipping & handling.

The adds are frequent on the radio here as well as on certain television
stations.
