Sounds like it needs something crunchy and something soft alongside...maybe
a macaroni salad and some fireworks slaw (shredded green & purple cabbage,
red peppers, carrrots, purple onion, green onion, and a vinaigrette w/ some
Dijon mustard and Cajun seasoning added). And some soft dinner rolls and
butter.

For dessert, assorted bar cookies (choc. chip blondies, brownies, and some
kind of fruity bar cookie...like the kind where you put the crumbly stuff on
the bottom, spread raspberry jam over it, and add more of the crumbly stuff
as a topping).
