We had occasion to stay at the Swann Inn Motel & Restaurant
in Rockford, Michigan. Quiet, unassuming place. The motel is
clean and reasonably priced. Restaurant *looks* plain.
Family friendly, alcohol friendly, smoker friendly (in the
bar). The food was great! My liver & onions (I only get it
out, cause Whiskerface hates it) was medium rare - delicious
& tender & real mashed potatoes. Veggies fresh & cooked
perfectly al dente. Ol'Whiskerface had stuffed pork chops
which were very tender and tasty, salad fresh & crisp. We
actually had several meals there, all tasty, generous
portions. Not really quick, but for good food it's worth the
wait. The coffee was good. OTOH, International House of
Pancakes all had terrible weak brown water. I may be
prejudiced in this coffee thing.
