Because Visions is arguably the worst commercially produced cookware ever, that's why. The double boiler is fine and the pans are okay in the microwave if you like cooking in the nuke. But on the range the low heat conductivity combined with medium heat retention ensures terrible sticking problems. Cast iron gets over the sticking problem caused by low conductivity with the nearly stick-free carbon coating of seasoning, but Visions glas-like-stuff has even lower heat conductivity than cast iron and does not season. I bought a set of Visions long ago and regretted it. Eventually I tossed the pieces that had not broken and I replaced them with other materials. Visions is no longer sold. |

Visions is no longer sold. which is why ive picked up a couple pieces at garage sales a few years back for virtually nothing. ive got a nice set of rena cookware for normal use. but ive got a really small vision frying pan that i use once in a while for certain special things. i know they suck for general use, but for some things its just what you need. until i find a nice stainless tiny frying pan at a garage sale.. besides the small frying pan and a couple bowls i use in the microwave, i use the 5 quart dutch oven quite a bit for baking, but it never touches the stove. thx randy |
