Because Visions is arguably the worst commercially produced cookware
ever, that's why. The double boiler is fine and the pans are okay
in the microwave if you like cooking in the nuke. But on the range
the low heat conductivity combined with medium heat retention
ensures terrible sticking problems.
Cast iron gets over the sticking problem caused by low conductivity
with the nearly stick-free carbon coating of seasoning, but Visions
glas-like-stuff has even lower heat conductivity than cast iron and
does not season.
I bought a set of Visions long ago and regretted it. Eventually I
tossed the pieces that had not broken and I replaced them with
other materials. Visions is no longer sold.
