Pork Chops for supper...Well Kinda

I thought I'd try this tonight, but use pork butt steaks instead of the
leaner chops.

Lemon Thyme Pork Chops

By The Canadian Living Test Kitchen
Serving(s) 4

General Category : Main Course
Food Group : Meat-Pork
Preparation Method : BBQ

Be sure to trim the excess fat off the chops, which causes flare-ups that
will char them.

Ingredients

2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp (15 mL) chopped fresh thyme (or 1/2 tsp/2 mL dried)
1 tsp (5 mL) grated lemon rind
1 tbsp (15 L) lemon juice
1/4 tsp (1 mL) each salt and pepper
4 bone-in pork chops, about 1/2-inch (1 cm) thick

Preparation
In small bowl, combine garlic, thyme, lemon rind and juice, salt and
pepper. Rub all over chops; let stand for 10 minutes.

Place on greased grill over medium- high heat; close lid and grill, turning
once, until juices run clear when pork is pierced and just a hint of pink
remains inside, about 10 minutes.

This sounds very similar to a pork tenderloin recipe I use. The lemon and
garlic combo is really tasty with pork. I bet you'll love them!

Sounds good! I've still got some pork steaks in the freezer; might have to
do this with those when I'm ready to cook them. I'll be waiting for your
report, of course :)
