I think this would be a good Fall party.

How about a fondue party -- dark chocolate dip for dessert -- for adults and
older children? An International feast is an old favorite, if you have a
various enough crowd. A Narnian or Calormine dinner, with guests in costume.

go trashy, show "Dallas," and get some more upper-class cusine. How about a
dance contest for all ages -- dress-up, too -- with a cake as a prize? If you
have a large number of knitters/sewers/quilters, you could work on a single
project, and have a quilting party with popcorn and a big meal at the end.
