Melba's Jammin' posted about a possible blizzard. Down in west TN it's
positively balmy. I've got the windows open! It's been in the 70's. This is the freakiest weather for nearly the end of November I can recall in my 30 years here. What does this mean? Well, some die-hard grill people may slough through snow and ice to light the coals, but not this gal. So what it means is, today, grilled fish! I've got some nice thick Icelandic cod fillets. I think I'll also cut some russet potatoes into 'quarter fries', rubbed with some olive oil, and roast them over the coals. Hmmm, I have a head of cabbage, too. So I'll quarter the cabbage and wrap each wedge in foil with a little butter, salt & pepper. I did this when we were without power in July for a week; the cabbage steams with the butter and carmelizes nicely in the foil. Yum! Jill |
