Freaky Weather
 

Melba's Jammin' posted about a possible blizzard. Down in west TN it's
positively balmy. I've got the windows open! It's been in the 70's. This
is the freakiest weather for nearly the end of November I can recall in my
30 years here. What does this mean?

Well, some die-hard grill people may slough through snow and ice to light
the coals, but not this gal. So what it means is, today, grilled fish!
I've got some nice thick Icelandic cod fillets. I think I'll also cut some
russet potatoes into 'quarter fries', rubbed with some olive oil, and roast
them over the coals. Hmmm, I have a head of cabbage, too. So I'll quarter
the cabbage and wrap each wedge in foil with a little butter, salt & pepper.
I did this when we were without power in July for a week; the cabbage steams
with the butter and carmelizes nicely in the foil. Yum!

Too bad TN is so far, -7 F. 4 in. of snow here in Hartsel, CO this morning.

Yeah, Mike, but I'll have the fish/potatoes/cabbage grilled by then and can

Here in Alabama it is about 70 with a nice breeze. Too bad I'm not back
home in Ohio, where it is snowing :-(

Yep, weird here in Armpit, Illinois, too. It was 63 and sunny @
9:00 this morning and less than 6 hours later it was raining,
gusting winds, and the temperture dropped more than 20 degrees
and it's supposed to keep dropping throughout the afternoon.

Actually, it's not "Armpit" - just feels that way. LOL I live
