Also Penzey's sells a good base under its name at www.penzeys.com which seems by ingredient match to be identical to "Orrington Farms" base which I have found at my local Albertsons. pavane |

I use a brand called L,B, Jamisons, and I have no complaints. I get it at
Hy-Vee. I also use their beef base and ham base (which is great for bean or split pea soups.) 1 jar is usually good for about 6 pots of soup. This is also great for gravies, or when I'm cooking rice I add a spoonful for flavor. Sandra |
