Default Food & Not Food

Hi:

I have recently returned to this group. While there are some
interesting and educational posts, there are quite a few posts that
deal with cloths, politics, taxes, handbags, etc. Are we cooking &
eating these items, or have many no longer anything to add to the
concept of foods and cooking here?

Just checking to see if I am the only one who noticed this.

Noticed he came back I guess....Wasn't a bit of food or cooking
mentioned in his post though.

My midnight snack was a edam sandwhich on pumpernickel.

Mine was more braised chicken hearts with a little butter, lemon pepper
and MeCormick mixed italian spices.

Oh, and a smidge' of soy sauce...

Skim for me, please, and hold the PB. (Can't handle the smell of it
in the morning.)

You need to get your killfile up to date. Perhaps we need some
new blood to get us back to cooking and recipes.

Where is your food comment? No mention of food ****es Jerry off.

This Monday is ThanksGiving in Canada. I'm to bring a dessert and a veggie. Going with Melba's
rhubarb custard cake excepting gonna use berries. And the veggie will be a corn and pepper/chile
dealie.Thinking green chillies, red bell pepper, tad of onion and a little cumin and garlic, but that
could change as it might mess up the turkey gravy. And we all know that's a no-no.

Oh this is happening on Sunday for me.

Actually the discussion of non- food does not **** me off. It simply
disappoints me. If one wants to discuss clothing, handbags, plastic
surgery, pimples, weapons, ammunition or whatever, it would seem
appropriate that one joins a discussion groups targeting each one of
those. If not then start one.

I log onto this group to talk about one thing - food, as well as the
related topic of recipes for food. When I want to discuss something
else, I log onto a different group. Admittedly I am not a hang loose,
anything goes person. I am not interested in BS. When I log in here I
either talk about food, or I don't log on here. Simple no?

So other than answering these gratuitous attacks I will keep my posts
to food, Italian food.

S0 where's the food comment?

I gots a whole pan of eggs in the steamer (well 10 anyways) for hard boiled eggs for work lunches
next week, steaming the eggs hardboiled makes them easier to peel

You weren't attacked, you were laughed at. Among the non-food
postings here, the most boring repeated topic is the complaint about
irrelevant posts. Like yours. -aem

OB Food: It's snowing here, 19 deg. F, and there's chicken soup
makings on the stove.

I'm glad I recently had the propane tank filled as it is supposed to be
in the low 20's (F), tonight locally.

OB:? I'm considering using some of the smoked ham shank I made today to
go into a pot with some chicken broth, Northern (dry beans), carrots and
onions. I thank that would also go with the expected weather.

Yep! Alt.skincare.acne (I looked it up).

ObFood: I'm on a tear today: Pancakes and sausage and juice for
breakfast; thawed that other 10-pound bag of chicken leg quarters --
four quarters are gonna be baked for dinner, and the other seven are in
the pot for soup for lunch. I think I'm gonna make alphabet soup and a
ginormous salad.
