He was in town to give a lecture for IdeaFestival.
A good speaker, funny - he was talking about food and culture. If you've read his books, there probably weren't any new revelations, but it was good to see and hear him live. - Mark |

He did mention his daughter and the cat - nobody brought up cuticles. Unfortunatley, he didn't get a chance to experience Louisville. If I had a chance to see him, I'd tell him he can't. Giant squid are inedible. One of the adaptations they've made for living very deep in the ocean is that there's a high content of ammonia in their flesh. Other deep-diving squid such as the vampire squid also have this adaptation. |
