I'm not a snacker, so if I have one it would most likely be chips with a sandwich at work. However, the other day I absolutely HAD to have dark chocolate and even made a special trip to the nearest convenience store just to find some. -- I love cooking with wine. I don't particularly like them, but if I am at a party and there is a bowl of potato chips I am likely to have some.... and then pig out on them. I only eat chocolate once in a while, and only buy dark chocolate. I am driving my wife crazy with the chocolate bar I bought two weeks ago. I have broken off a square or two every few days and there is still half a bar left. She doesn't understand how I can do that. |

Your posts about the surveys are always a good read, IMO. FWIW, I find myself muttering about other internet surveys I've seen that don't have the "MCINL" option ;-) Take the one I saw on a local news website today: http://www.news24.com/Content Q. Would you consider obesity surgery? - Yes, why not - No, it's too extreme - Only if I'm desperate Heh. What about, "What do you consider 'obese'?". Or just plain "No". Surely people might have other reasons than "It's too extreme" to say no? And of course not to forget, "Depends who's paying for the surgery." So I didn't vote... -- Cheers Chatty Cathy |

I know what you mean. I really hate filling out "serious" surveys - say a survey about how well your doctor's office handles your case or something like that - or a survey from a company about their service and or products. My responses almost never fit any of the choices, at least without clarification and I hate to give a misleading response. So I refuse to do surveys and when I absolutely must I tend to give more negative answers than I really feel because I would rather err on the side of "complaining". ;-) (My life motto is "Complain, complain, complain." If you don't complain about things they never get fixed. And if you do complain sometimes someone actually listens to you and fixes things. (Used to be if you complained about something in a restaurant - fill out one of those card on the table - you would get a free meal. That was a sweet deal!) Now this is not to say I complain about things that aren't "wrong" but when something is wrong I make it a point to mention it. I know, I know, people hate going out to dinner with me. ;-) But it really gripes me when someone is really unhappy with the food or the service or whatever and never says or does anything about it because they don't want to "make a fuss". I try to be polite about it but I still point it out. I usually don't rant and rave and make a scene (well, if it's really an egregious error and they are not a all sorry about it I might lose my cool. I know, you're saying I find it hard to believe that Kate would ever lose her cool . . . . ;-) Sorry, there I going running on again. I'll shut up now.
