| In the same way that parmesan and romano cheeses taste similar.

Excellent analogy. I find the Promite somewhat more bland and meaty,
perhaps, than Vegemite which has a more tangy quality to it. Given
all that I like both better than Marmite, although there is an Australian
production of Marmite that I have never tasted, perhaps it grows
better down under. And of course there are many who will like the
Promite better.

You are cruel. <g>
I've not had cinnamon toast in at least a couple of years!

And if you are going to do hot cocoa, better add heavy cream and a shot
of brandy or rum!

Then make cinnamon french toast...

Or at least sourdough english muffins drowned in butter and cinnamon
sugar.

Unless you're referring to me in the above, then you've actually met two - I
love both Marmite and Vegemite, although unlike those raised on them, I
can't tell the difference between the two.

Then there are two! The person I was referring to was Canadian.

Yay you!

BTW, it really doesn't need to be kept in the fridge -- it could survive
a nuclear war.

I'm coming when I can afford it, and I'll definitely be coming to the
left coast. And yes, I will bring DH and the Weasel if I can (Tammy,
she's ELEVEN now and nearly as tall as me...)

I really hope I can find the rye whatevers. They looked so

My friend, R, in Dunedin once sent me 2 large cans (like, .5kg EACH!) of
Chelsea syrup. Must have cost him an arm, leg and yet another precious body
part! That was, probably, 7 years ago. I used to make ANZAC bikkies for
our campus antipodeans but, now that I am Chelsea syrup-less, no more
bikkies :-( Lyle's just doesn't do the trick.

meter. I've honestly not tried that yet.

(Serene, I've still got some waiting to go to you, too!)

You remind me... There has been some debate about sourdough bread
and whether or not it is permitted.

I've honestly no idea.
I'm just currently avoiding bread completely, but it's more for the
weight loss issue. I'm avoiding starch and sugar.

I love all sorts of toppings on toast! My top three toppings a

1. Cream cheese and strawberry jam (mm, i know what im having tomorrow morning!)
2. Butter and sugar. My mom and grandmother would make this for me as a kid.
3. Peanut butter - the crunchy kind.
