I'm sure the movie is already written and someone has purchased rights for the sequel. I didn't know about the Spanish Flu fiasco. I thought I was pretty good on Philly history, too. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/amex/influen.../philadel.html Jon |

PBS did a special on it about 6 years ago - people would feel fine when they left work, get on the bus and be dead when they got home. It was that fast. It probably killed more GIs in WWI than combat. My great-aunt lost her daughter (age 14). It was awful, awful, awful. Do a little reading. Thankfully, we probably have the capability to treat it more effectively now - medicine was pretty primitive in 1918. N. |

I had heard of the epidemic before, just not the impact on Philadelphia. Jon |
