Default Makes a great gift!

I see that Ted Kennedy gifted Barack Obama with a Portuguese water dog. The
Obamas *had* intended to adopt a dog from a local rescue shelter, but they
ended up with a purebred dog instead! Here are some characteristics which
make them attractive to the First Family:

1. The breed doesn't shed, and people with dog allergies are often
unaffected by this breed. (Malia Obama suffers from allergies.)

2. They typically bond to one alpha family member; I'm not sure where this
dog will end up giving its devotion, we'll just have to wait and see.

3. They're highly intelligent, so you can teach them to roll over, or even
to bow to a foreign head of state.

That dog will bond with Michelle's mother, Bob, she RUNS that White House,
she brooks no nonsense from ANYONE and I for one would not want to cross her
and so suffer the gaze from what could probably be a very fearsome "evil
eye"...I'd expect if she didn't like you you'd be running around cowering
all the time. We should send her abroad as a Special Emissary to our
"trouble-making" enemies, she'd settle those pukes' hash in a microsecond
AND kick their mizerable asses to hell and back besides...

Obama is pussie - whipped, but in a GOOD way, in his wife and MIL he's
surrounded by strong women of good character...you'll see no fear or
stumbling in their demeanor like you see in his. It's great to see a strong
woma[e]n of character in the WH again, the last we had was Nancy Reagan...

I think they must be related to Poodles since everything you describe
above also describes a Poodle.

IIRC, the Wikipedia article does mention that Portuguese water dogs have
many characteristics in common with poodles, including the ways they can be
groomed.

And if the president didn't know what to do, Nancy could consult her
astrologer.

Nancy Reagan was a real great little lady, blake, she "stood by her man"
through thick and thin...

Pat Nixon was something of a cipher, I always felt sorry for her, married to
the schmuck she was...lotsa tragedy in that face of hers!

Laura Bush was quiet, but she was strong. She got her hubbie off the wagon.
And I have *never* read one negative thing about her...

OTOH I like Kitty Kelly's description of Babs Bush in her Bush family bio:
"a cross between Ma Barker and a bulldyke"...lol!

I have nothing but utter and complete contempt for Hillary Clintoon aka "The
First Bitch"...she'd make Lady Macbeth or Elektra *wince*.

Michelle Obama is DA BOMB, I'm a real big fan of hers...I SURE would like to
hear some of that "pillow talk" that goes on between her and Obama.

> her *only* characteristic was 'thou shalt not do anything to tarnish the

A *very* smart lady, without Nancy Reagan there would most probably not have
*been* a Ronald Reagan as we now know him. He became one of the greatest
presidents of the 20th century...and she played no small part in that.

She should not have had kids, though, she was a pretty lousy mother. But
that was true of Eleanor Roosevelt, too...

well, it was rumored that she once gave frank sinatra a blow job in the
white house, so she does have that point in her favor...
