Thankee, Mam! I'm now officially *in* my 60s and looking forward to
retiring in June.

Fran is a nice name! I wouldn't be upset.

Thanks! I went to a restaurant that's been open forever, but I'd
never been there before. We got a $50 gift certificate to it when our
car was serviced last time, so we used the gift certificate last
night. If we'd also brought our rebate check from Verizon, we would
have walked away w/o paying a dime out of pocket.

We ordered from their prefix menu. Both of us had a cocktail before
dinner and my meal was paired with various wines. Hubby ordered
asparagus soup and I ordered the baby vegetable salad. Both items got
high very marks from us. I had duck breast & confit, hubby had their
signature scallops dish (they had just run out of the snapper so
scallops were substituted). By the time we got to our desserts, we
were so full we couldn't finish them! Our waiter's name was David,
and he is someone I recommend asking for by name if anyone decides to
eat at One Market (San Francisco) in the near future.

Happy birthday! Sounds like you had a wonderful dinner, it made me
hungry just reading about it.

Happy birthday, dahlink.........if that pesky Carol starts to annoy you just
get out your little voodoo doll of her heater, electric meter, or whatever
hasn't gone on the fritz this week (have you been reading the cartoon Baby
Blues, Carol? I think you would relate) and stick a pin in it's miniature
transistor. That will fix her little red wagon (that is, if her red wagon
hasn't broken down either!!!!) Love ya, Carol......(blows raspberry in
Carols general direction, then hums Happy Birthday in Barb's direction -
since if she sang it, she'd have to pay royalties)

<singing>

You say it's your birthday -
Happy birthday to you...

Do I have to pay royalties on that one?

Thanks Kimberly, my birthday celebrating lasted all weekend. I went
out to dinner on Friday night, the kids came over and cooked me a
birthday dinner last night and I single handedly kept the economy from
collapsing today. It was a very good birthday weekend! LOL
