....of being sick and tired.
Getting over a UTI, but the cipro that's kicking the infection's ass makes me nauseous and headachey. It's been so cold and dry that I'm having nose bleeds, there's not enough body lotion in the world to keep me from itching, and, to add insult to injury, it makes my hair frizz. Scully's got a bladder infection, too (how's that for weird?), Zane is ticking like a time bomb for lack of exercise and Cooper has already gotten his ass kicked twice this week for following Zane around making rude subvocal noises and eyeballing. He has short man's syndrome (and possibly a death wish). I'd say hah, serves you right except both times he peed all over himself and had to have a bath. I need it to be spring, goddamnit! I want to sink my hands into warm dirt and pat mulch around tomato plants. I want the aroma of new mown grass in my nose as I push the mower for the first time over the frost-heaved sod. I want the sun on my shoulders and the smell of coconut oil. I want to go to bed with wet hair and wake up with ringlets. Is that really so much to ask? And, barring that, could I at least have some cheese and crackers with my whine? |

My yard is a jungle so that would be very helpful in getting all the weeds out :-) Shame about the quarantine restrictions :-( Seriously though, don't think there'll be many dogs running around and digging anything today. Tomorrow (Sunday), the maximum > temp. is supposed to be 25C/77F, with temps. in the mid-20s until Friday. We're meant to get a cool change Monday. The Bureau of Meteorology site is showing temp for Penrith at 11.30pm (about 10 minutes ago) as 27.9C (82F). It's showing our max for today as 42.3C (108F). The outside thermometer at my sister's place got up to 43.1 I think. The weather station is at the Lakes so it might register a little cooler if it's near the water :-) We've had a few of these 42 days out here this summer, but thankfully not a whole lot all in a row. Very tired of the heat - unfortunately it's often accompanied by a healthy dose of humidity, which makes it worse. Dry heat is better. -- Rhonda Anderson Cranebrook, NSW, Australia |

Yes! Check out the allergy to Cipro (sulfa). I didn't discover my
allergy to sulfa drugs until I was over thirty. I took Cipro for ten days and the UTI went away but I just got sicker and sicker until I felt like I had acid in my blood vessels and I broke out in hives - everywhere. Including the inside of my mouth. My doctor wouldn't let me give - administer it to my daughter a couple of years later! Check it out. Cortisone will help but the more Cipro you've taken, the sicker you'll get. Lynn in Fargo |

For me after several days on Cipro everything starts to taste bad. I find brushing ones tongue helps greatly. Dimitri |

"Oh, well then, that's pretty much normal, you've only got another day and a half of the med, just stay with it." |

That sounds right Cipro is a pretty powerful antibiotic. When you're done you might think about or ask your doctor having some live culture yoghurt to re-establish your natural flora. http://www.womentowomen.com/digestio...robiotics.aspx Dimitri |

I finally went to the doctor for antibiotics. This stuff lingers, and enough is enough. Didn't know everyone was sick with the same crud. nancy |

The year before it was an allergic reaction to a prescribed medication. The previous year, I was struggling after what was initially diagnosed as a mini stroke (but never proved). I'm doing better today. Trouble mainly with breathing!! JonquilJan Learn something new every day As long as you are learning, you are living When you stop learning, you start dying |
