I don't like long nights or long days. I think I need to move to Hawaii ASAP. -- I never worry about diets. The only carrots that interest me are the number of carats in a diamond. Mae West |

We've just had a week of those temps here. It's supposed to be high 30s this week I think, but not up over 40 again. Penrith has had the highest temp in the state several times this month I think - definitely on Saturday when it was 42C or so. And the humidity is a killer. -- Rhonda Anderson Cranebrook, NSW, Australia |

"In March 2008, Adelaide, South Australia experienced maximum temperatures of above 35 °C (95 °F) for fifteen consecutive days, seven days more than the previous longest stretch of 35 °C (95 °F) days. The March 2008 heat wave also included eleven consecutive days above 38 °C (100 °F)." From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heat_wave |

But there's nothing like those long soft summer evenings. Of course the blasted birds at 04:30 in the morning are another matter. John Kane Kingston ON Canada |

(F) -------------- GM replies: About the same here in Chicawgo... And I don't mind the cold one bit, things are quieter and it keeps a lot of the riff - raff off of the streets... Where do the birds go when it's cold (the ones that don't migrate), haven't seen many hanging about lately...I guess they are snuggled in their nests or something. -- Best Greg |
