There are advantages to pseudonyms. <g>

I personally think that there is no dishonesty in using a 'nym for
usenet.

My e-mail address works. Most here that know me know me as "Kat".

Short for Kathleen.

Too common of a name!

Or we could just assign someone to follow you around and announce
when it's really you posting.

Indeed... :-)

Many moons ago tho' I was known as "Katra" (Kat for short). Was too
common of a pseudonym tho' plus she picked up stalker/trolls.

I've only been om now for, I think, about 3 years. Been posting here
since 1996.

Grin, I can laugh but this Carol is a bit more new and might take it amiss.

BTW, in another thread asking if I have the right person for a cassarole
type sweet potato dish that was savory vice sweet?

Gender neutral names are most often considered to be male by usenet
posters, or so I've found.:-)

That can have it's entertainment value when one posts with a gender
neutral ID on some lists. I tried to make the transition here so that
others that counted (regulars) knew who I was.
