Well, I went and did the unthinkable, and now I have to
feed him AND two meat-eating stepsons. I am a vegetarian
for philosophical reasons, and cooking/eating meat is out
of the question for me. After 13 years I will NOT be
cheating! So, does anyone have any suggestions for how
to feed these guys? They like proper meals, with several
dishes, whereas I am more used to the one-bowl dinners,
having been a bachelor and student for more years than not.

I am beginning to work a bit with TVP, have done the
Sloppy Joe and Chilli. Pretend meat has never appealed
to me, since I never miss meat, but if there are any
good brands out there I would be happy to hear about them.
I live in LA, so almost everything is available.
I am not a vegan, but I usually go the bean and grain
route. Unfortunately, this is the stuff they would
consider a side dish, were they to eat it at all.

I have all three types of TVP, but as of yet haven't
figured out what to do with the really large ones.

So, HEEEEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPPP, before I go crazy and start
spending all my free time at the vege cafe down on the
corner...leaving my husband to fend for himself.

Naomi Lucas

Her name was Naomi De Moraes (but changed to Naomi Lucas :-)

She was a Theoretical Physicist at UCLA.

She wanted me to give up drinking, fighting, skydiving, and wanted me
to
become a vegetarian.

I told her I could manage the vegetarian thing, and could also manage
to
give up drinking and fighting, but she could go screw herself if she
expected me to give up jumping!!

Had a quickie Californian divorce after that :-)

Don't know who's covering the east coast here, 'cause I'm normal.
It's
everyone else that's all screwed up!! :-)
