Default I can eat again

Had a problem. Thought it might be mouth cancer and was down to eating baby
food or the next closest thing, pureed everything. Almost burned up my
stick blender. If I couldn't get it through a straw, couldn't eat it.
Anyway, I slowly wound my way through the health care system, doctors,
dentists, oral surgeons, etc, and got it resolved. Not cancer!! Yeah!

Now, there's a nice little divet right behind my two top front teeth. Kinda
like a microscopic doggy tried to dig under the fence ...my two teeth....
and it feels like the grand canyon to my tongue. The best part ...besides
I'm not gonna die a horrible death.... is that I can eat real food again.

I'm still taking it easy, but I can chew soft stuff on my back molars
without irritating what turned out to be nothing more than a extremely
inflamed incisive papilla (that thing you always burn when you don't wait
for your pizza to cool). Whew! Hopefully it will be healed enough to eat
turkey this Thur. At least turkey sandwiches by next weekend.

I gotta tell ya, I was kinda scared. Not so much of dying, but never again
being able to enjoy great food. If it had been cancer, I'd have let it go,
as I wasn't about to finish my life with half my upper mouth and face
missing and not be able to eat good food. It really sucks when you can't
enjoy one of the finest pleasures in life. Life almost isn't worth living.
From now on, I plan to eat nothing but really good food that I take as much
time and care preparing as I can and revel in the fact I'm able to. No more
prepared junk and frozen dinners. Life is too short for eating bunk. Oh!
....I am so jonesing for a fresh pizza or a hot pastrami on rye.

I'll be giving special thanks this Thanksgiving and I wish you all a good
one.

nb ...woo-hoo!
