Peter, I haven’t followed rfc that closely over the past couple of days,
reading only very selectively, so I’m not sure what you’re referring to.

I have never been a soldier, so I really cannot relate to what being a
soldier is like, although I can imagine it is very difficult if one is on
active duty, especially during times of war.

I don’t have a problem with that.

I am not jealous of your life style, so I don’t have a problem with that
either. More power to you. I had planned on an early retirement, but my
life savings was wiped out, so I will probably work until I can no longer
work. I used to resent that, but not any longer. I like my job and the
people I work with.

What have you suffered during your life? Almost everyone has suffered
something if they’ve lived long enough, and most try to work past it.

just to be an asshole, i must point out that that quote is usually
attributed to henry ford ii, grandson of the founder of the car company.

Wayne........ it's not me. It's the pathetic stalker creep called Bevan
Kirkland..... who most recently faked it's own death, supposedly from a
brain tumour.

I have *never* used a Gmail account, and never will.

Here are some of it's stalking attempts so far....

There is also another one in there that tried abusing Nancy Young....

This kirkland creep is pathalogically obsessed with stalking me, ever
since I proved it to be a liar and a fraud when it tried to pass itself
off as a Vietnam POW.

It also used to be a registered nurse, before it was kicked out for
'mental problems'.

So, if you see my name, with a Gmail email address....... it's the
forger/stalker.

Thanks, Peter. I should have known better. I’ve never really known you to

LOL!! I get a bit 'bent out of shape' (very rarely!!) about some issues
sometimes, but I *never* talk intimately about my previous 'life'.... or
the outcome of it.

Apart from the fact I *am* retired, and have been for 19 years.

YeeeHaaa!! I'm coming up to my 20 years long service!! ;-)

Buddy, we all do. I can’t think of hardly anyone on rfc that hasn’t gone
off on a tangent at one time or another. I know I have.

As I said, my plans went awry, but them’s the breaks.

I don't think I've *ever* seen you get bent out of shape!!

But then, I don't read *every* thread ;-)

Bummer.

I was 33 when I did....... which was good in a way, I stayed very active
the whole time.

I saw a lot of my mates retire, then die within a couple of years
because they just didn't know what to do with themselves.

No medal....... but I'll get a pay rise ;-)

It’s been a while, I think. I’ve mellowed.

That was smart.

That seems to happen to a lot of retirees no matter what age they are.

I’d take the money over a medal anytime! With the state of the world
economy today, any bit more you can get is important.
