Default rec: Grandmother's [Mincemeat] Cookies

As requested...

Grandmother's Cookies (ca 48 cookies)
Source: 10 ways to serve Grandmother's Mince Meat Goodies (recipe
leaflet from the now-defunct Whipple Co. of Natick, Mass.)
Formatted by Jean B.

1 c light brown sugar
1/2 c shortening
2 eggs
1 c [prepared] Grandmother's Glass Jar Mincemeat*
2 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsps baking powder

Preheat oven to 400F.

Cream the sugar and shortening. Add the eggs and beat well.

Add the mincemeat. Sift the dry ingredients twice and add to the
first mixture.

Drop by Tbsps onto well-greased cookie sheets. Spread out thin.

Bake at 400F for 10 minutes [or until done].

*Of course we don't know how juicy this was.
