I don't have a problem with providing welfare for those that really need
it, but when it becomes a generational thing, the system is broken.

I'm not a far right conservative. ;-)
I do have compassion for those that need help.

I have no compassion for lazy sponges.

Wellfare isn't breaking the system. Most welfare recipients across
generations feel great shame in their dependency and have often tried to
hold down low paying jobs at various times in their lives.

Who should get to decide who's a lazy sponge and who needs help? I don't
think I'd want you on that committee.
