A new Oriental food store opened up near me, and
I wandered around looking for stuff I hadn't seen before. I bought some indonesian fried crackers made from _Genetum_genemon_ (also known as "padi oats"), whatever the heck that is. They didn't have much flavor. I also bought a fresh banana bud. It's approximately the size and shape of a Belgian endive, but dark brown in color. What do I do with it? |

Some examples (I have had a similar versions of the first two recipes and the third sounds interesting): http://indian-food.suite101.com/arti...er_soup_recipe http://bhakshanam.wordpress.com/2006...r-preparation/ http://indian-food.suite101.com/arti...de_dish_recipe |
