You did it as a followup to your previous mocking of Texans and southerners, having made snide remarks before. Andy, you are a buffoon. You are a pretentious jerk who keeps playing games. Your participation on any usenet group lowers its quality by your mere presence. > It's not a competition. It is about YOU. It is about your disgusting behavior; it is about your slick back-slapping, aw-shucks behavior that you use to try and camoflague the pathetic and mean-spirited crap you poop out on usenet. It is about using rhetoric to unjustly paint an aura of racism around innocent bystanders because you are a bigoted son-of-a-bitch. > Andy (the ass-wipe) |

I know kraut to be made by mixing shredded cabbage with salt; the salt draws moisture from the kraut and creates the juice that the cabbage ferments in, becoming sauerkraut. Are you mixing plain jalapeños with salt for a similar effect or are you soaking them in a salt water solution? Those comments were just the latest evidence of the contempt he holds against those whom he thinks are from the south. Andy is a sick, twisted, and perverted imbecile who thinks that he can hide his hatred and purile thinking in what he thinks of as 'humor'. It's visible in most of the posts that he makes where his brand of 'humor' is on display. His KKK comment came about because he's pushed the edge for so long that he thought he could just nudge it one more time. Andy is a hater. -- Dave www.davebbq.com |

Heh. Him and his self-absorbed bratty pal, sf. She seemed pleasant enough when I met her years ago but everything I've seen from her for a while is OT junk, self-aggrandizing drama, just plain ol' drama, and "the rules don't apply to me". What a maroon. ObFood: I was at the Berkeley Bowl for the first time in a while today and had to stop at the olive bar, of course. My former favorites, the citrus stuffed green olives, are no longer there - I have to go off to the Spanish Table and buy tiny cans if I want my fix these days - but I tried two new things today. I got some marinated sliced mushrooms and some feta-stuffed green olives, inspired on that last by this Valentine's Day extravaganza from Chef Barbara Fisher at Tigers and Strawberries: http://www.tigersandstrawberries.com...ines-day-menu/ (Barbara has posted recipes for the muhmarra and the asparagus soup. Charlotte Bob says check it out.) Instant love for the olives, of course, and the shrooms were quite tasty as a sandwich topping for lunch topping toasted jack cheese sandwiches. Provolone might have been optimal for this because thinner but the jack and bread are what are called Musgovian around here. Then I curled up for a nap ![]() I was planning to make chilaquiles a la Koko for dinner tonight, but will probably have some soup instead and make them tomorrow. Charlotte -- |

I don't think you know what you're talking about. > Stay in bed with what's it's name? Barb? Andy, I think you need a tranquilizer. You're freaking, dude. The stuff Dave is claiming you said is bad in itself, but talking about Barb that way is enought to get you on my personal shit list. Now, do tell us all how much you don't care. > Hey, guess what? > > Plonk! Yeah? Well, welcome to *my* killfile, dumbass... -- Jani in WA |

Well, that was bizarre. >Charlotte has been here (and ba.food) as long as I can remember. I think I started posting on usenet (mostly the ba. groups) in 1993. I became more active in RFC 1995-ish after I went to the First Ever Cook-in (in Sacratomato) and getting this account, which came with a better newsreader than the previous one I had, so I could manage the volume better. I've never X-no-archived and I've always posted under my name, so if Andy had better state and impulse control, he could have looked me up in Goo-Goo Groups and realized I was a Returning Old-Timer, not a Lurker. >She's just smarter than most of us and doesn't post much. Aw, that's sweet of you, Steve. Not true, but sweet ![]() And I'll have to POAST MOAR ABOUT FOOD to make up for poking a stick at the dramaholics ![]() sauce with mushrooms and zucchini (zukes on big special at the Berkeley Bowl) and the Muir Glen crushed tomatoes I got at the Bowl, AND the Chilaquiles a la Koko (but I'm adding some pinquito beans to the mix).
