Default REC: Seared Salmon with Balsamic Vinegar

This is what I did with today's salmon fillet:

SEARED SALMON WITH BALSAMIC VINEGAR GLAZE

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons water
2 1/2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons packed light brown sugar
6-ounce salmon fillet
2 teaspoons vegetable oil

Stir together vinegar, water, lemon juice and brown sugar. Pat salmon dry
with paper towels. Heat oil in a nonstick skillet and sear salmon, skin side
up, over high heat until well browned, about 4 minutes. Turn fillet over and
sear until just cooked through, 3-4 minutes more. Transfer salmon to plate.
Carefully add vinegar mixture to skillet (liquid will bubble vigorously and
steam) and simmer, stirring, until thickened and reduced to about 3
tablespoons. Spoon over salmon.

Sometimes I wonder why I bother with other salmon recipes.
