I posted that many hours ago. If you had come in much earlier, you
would have found a lot of folks there. Next time, come in
earlier....

Default Requested recipes, Wednesday Night Chat

Hi! I couldnt find the oatmeal bar one, but here is something interesting.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

Title: TREACLE & OATMEAL DROP SCONES(ENGLISH)
Categories: English
Yield: 4 Servings

2 oz Self-raising flour
1 1/2 ts Level baking powder
pn Salt
1/2 oz Soft brown sugar
2 oz Medium oatmeal
1 oz Butter
1 tb Black treacle
1 sm Egg, well beaten
1/4 pt Milk (scant)

Sieve the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl and stir in the
sugar and the oatmeal. Gently melt the butter and black treacle
together in a pan. Add to the dry ingredients and stir in with the
well beaten egg and the milk. Heat a thick frying pan or griddle and
grease lightly. Drop teaspoons of the mixture on to the pan; as soon
as bubbles appear on the surface turn over and cook the other side.
Serve hot with butter.

MMMMM
