Okay, what's this tool used for:

I have to wonder if there is another piece that goes with it. Listed as a hotplate took, it can lift a dish or plate from the stove to take tot he table. My guess is the hole in the foot may lock a protrusion on the other part. Could be to lift a hot lid off of a pot or tureen in the same manner. Give that it is decorative and silver, it would be more of a table server than kitchen tool. |
