The test message appeared in alt.test. I could also send regular
e-mail - just couldn't send posts to newsgroups.
As you can see, I can now send to newsgroups but those particular posts
never did go through - I deleted them.
Weird.

What can happen sometimes if you reply to a deeply nested post is that
the References header line gets too long.

Discussed elsewhere, the conclusion was that this is not a NIN
problem; rather, it is a newsreader problem. OE?

Quite probably OE, I suspect, in spite of what was claimed. I deleted
the "offenders", so everything's fine at the moment. Throws up hands.
