Default Halloween recipes

I've made several but the one that got the best (worst!) response was
a spider cake.

Bake a chocolate cake in two metal bowls, one larger than the other.
Scoop out most of the middles of the cakes. Make lime gelatin, allow
to thicken, then whip to creamy green. (Cherry might be ok, or
possibly orange, but green is the right color) Fill the cakes and
refrigerate til the whipped gelatin is set.

Frosting should be black but I think I used dark chocolate, plus some
white frosting dyed red for an hourglass shape (black widow don'cha
know). The two cakes are turned over onto a cutting board, touching.
Frost and decorate. Green M&Ms for the eyes, black licorice for the
legs.

Made the dept secretary cut into it. Green goop runs out. She
screams. Everyone says "EWWWW!!!"

I thought about doing the lemon gelatin in a baby's potty, with Baby
Ruth miniatures embedded in the gelatin. Maybe this year...

So...what have y'all done that got a good response?

Best -- Terry
