I've often had bought fruit bread, and it has some sort of red fruit in it.
I don't think they're cherries, I'm wondering if they're cranberries.
They're really nice, and if that's what they are, I might make my own
cranberry bread. But as far as I know, I've never had cranberries before.

Is there an ingredients list for these bread products that
you can look at? Either cherries or cranberries are frequently
used in baked goods.

I never actually took notice at the time. But I don't think it was
cherries.

Fruit breads often have candied cherries in them. Cranberries are very
tart.

During breakfast, Royal Caribbean cruise line makes a sliced bread that
has dried, red fruit in it, among other things. The top of the bread is
covered with sliced almonds. I wondered what that fruit was, and I

I'm eating limited (starch) carbs on the weekends.
Seems to be working better for me, at least for now.

I look forward to that weekly breakfast taco on Saturday mornings on the
way home from work.

Becca, I ws referring to what might be on top of the bread with sliced
almonds; it might be pomegranate seeds. It is not something that one would
normally think would be used -- but it's a good bet as they have been quite
popular in the last few years.

I only thought of it because I saw dried cranberries in the shop the other
day, and was wondering what they would taste like. Then I remembered the
red fruit in some type of bread I've had before. And I was wondering if
they could be cranberries. I can't remember what the bread was.

I've never used cranberry sauce as a condiment on meat, it's served as a
side dish, like applesauce.

There is a fine line between a side dish and a condiment. Those of us who
like applesauce with pork and cranberry sauce with turkey tend to have more
applesauce than cranberry. I still think of it as a condiment.

Cranberry bread, with and without pecans, was always a feature
of Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners in our house. The bead was
made from cooked fresh cranberries and was slightly sweet.
