When I was in my teens Oh so long ago, A&W had a hamburg sauce that
they put on their fries. They stopped and now I have been working on a recipe that tastes like their Coney Fries, and I think I got it. Ingredients: 1/2 small onion, chopped. 1 pound lean hamburger meat. 1 can tomato soup. 1/3 tomato soup can of water. 1 package of Taco Seasoning Mix. A few crushed chili flakes. Cooking Method: Saute onions in a little oil in a large sauce pan until opaque. Add hamburg and brown thoroughly. Add tomato soup and water. Mix in Taco Seasoning Mix and crushed chilies and stir well. Cover and simmer for about a half hour. Serve over french fries. This may seem a very simple recipe but kids just love it. |
