Default Hahabogus: How was Canadian Thanksgiving?

Just asking because I know you put a lot of time and effort into cooking and
entertaining your son and his girlfriend and her children yesterday.
Hopefully everything turned out well. I can just taste the ham...

Well other than the penzeys curried potato salad mishap...I misread the
recipe and used a tbsp curry instead of a tsp of the sweet curry. (*Note to
self... start wearing your reading glasses more.) Everything else went
well. There was ham, steamed mixed veggies and the potato salad, for the
main course. As appetizers I made baked brie in puff pastry shells (store
bought shells), served with cloudberry jam. And dessert was (for the kid)
extreme green apple jello with Ben and jerry's world's best vanilla ice
cream. For the adults there was apple crumble cheese cake (purchased from
CostCo), with or without said ice cream. Pre meal snacks were supplied by
M&M groceries...a package of oven ready mixed breaded cheese sticks,
breaded chicken and brocoli buttons and breaded oriental chicken buttons.
As usual I cooked enough for 20 and there was 3 adults and 1.5 kids. Boy
did the littlest one (9 months old) get a look of joy when she got her
first taste of ice cream. While the little one sleep and the older one
played computer games. The adults yakked a fair bit into the night. Mostly
moaning about eating too much.
