I've got one of those hand graters, the kind with one coarse and one
fine and one slice choice all on one single flat grater. The thing that makes this one special is that the fine and the coarse are split lengthwise instead of crosswise. This gives me grate holes of either size the full length of the grater. I hate the one's that split it crosswise so you only have half the grater length to use. Those are pretty much useless. Yet, that's still the only one's I can find in stores, these days. I'd buy a new one like I have, but I haven't seen a new one like it for over 20 yrs of prowling. Makes a great pot strainer, too. Just cover bottom third of pan when draining. nb |

I bought one of those Vidalia Chopper devices and it worked so well I bought a second one. I didn't have to mail order them from TV or online, because Target stores have them on sale right at the store (among any other stores that may also be selling them in stores, I just happened to buy both choppers at Target). Testing has shown I can even stack up Iceberg Lettuce leaves and chop them all at once using the chopper. So, I can chop up the lettuce and then dice some tomato and have a basic salad ready in less than a minute. (For a more elaborate salad, I have also tested dicing avocado and slices from block cheese with great success, which is also great for making a quick taco salad.) Also, if I dice up some avocado and use the smaller dicing blade assembly for dicing some tomato into really small dices, I can make a really easy guacamole that takes less than a couple of minutes to make (just a small amount of extra time is needed to mash up the avocado after dicing it). |

Sadly true. Half length makes for children, sure not for a 6'+ man, but they're the only ones I have and see around. > I'd buy a new one like I have, but I haven't seen > a new one like it for over 20 yrs of prowling.
