<g> I just heard back from her. The condensed version, based on her
email:
* Too much off topic stuff, too much nastiness led to the realization
that there are better ways to use her time and energy.

*Re the Easter lamb roast: We did it again this year, roasted four legs
of lamb this time. I wrote a little about it on my blog.

There are a couple pictures of the littlest muffin there, too.

Eh, things evolve. Why stay stuck in the past? This group has more
volume now, therefore more noise. What I hate is the crossposting,
which is mainly chung related.

I have a kill file and know how to use it, so I kill all threads "on"
*or* "off" topic that don't interest me. When an interesting thread
"drifts" into an area that bores me.... I kill it. Honestly, I don't
care what content I miss as a reasult. If there is something of any
real interest to me, one of the rfc posters I see in chat or
communicate with by email will let me know.

Please share! I've tried various recipes (none with sweeteners) and
can't make anything near as good as Hellman's.

Perhaps it's the oil? The ones I've tried to make are never eggy
enough and I don't want it too lemony. I should probably try soybean
oil, that's what they use.

I just want to duplicate Hellman's! (which actually doesn't have corn
syrup listed but does have mysterious "natural flavors"). Mainly in
case they change the formulation (eg. the version they make in Canada
is very different, and bland, and has different ingredients).

*boggle* Do you think somehow that someone's sex/gender has some
bearing on the gender of their preferred partner(s)?

I don't even have words for how bizarre that is.

I have met a number of people who practice/d polyamory. There was
nothing twisted or sick about any of them - they simply chose to love
more instead of less. Not all people in polyamorous relationships
have sexual relationships with those they consider consorts.
Polyamory means different things to different people and is, quite
simply, a different way of looking at relationships - of all kinds.
While I, myself, practice serial monogamy, I wouldn't be opposed to
possibly someday exploring polyamory. The people who I know who
practice it are a lot less uptight and critical of their partners
because, quite simply, they have the freedom to do as they please.

Wow. What does that post (by someone else on alt.polyamory, a group
I've been on since 1998) have to do with me, or with the question of
whether or not one's own gender has anything to do with the gender
of one's partner(s)? Are you saying that *** and bisexual people
are sick and twisted, as well?

Something's being odd to you doesn't answer my question. Do you
know any *** or ******* people? Are *******s *******s (in your
estimation) because they love women, or because they somehow are not
women themselves?

My lifestyle? No, feel free to go there. My lifestyle is that of
an urban housewife, for the most part. My days are filled with
cooking, cleaning, doing work for pay, and working in my garden.
That's my lifestyle.

If you mean the fact that I'm bisexual or polyamorous, take your
best shot. I'm really very happy with myself, and with the people
that I love, and I don't really see what bearing my orientation has
upon your original remark.

Which just goes to prove you know nothing of which you speak.

They do not change "on purpose". It is a rather long, drawn out process
to make absolutely sure that they are the right candidates for it.

You make it seem like they wake up one morning and go "Hey, I'm going to
change sex today.... lets go!!"

What? To show that you're a blinkered, one track, moronic, bigot?

You're entitled to your views, sf, just don't go shoving them down

power to her.

Think about it.

You and him and him and others and in multiples of the same, round and
round??

Might as well shoot up together.

Uhm... what's OK about sleeping with other husbands and wifes?

That's *wives*. (BTW, I *only* sleep with women....... and then we don't
get much sleep because we're rooting all the ime, so it can't really be
called "sleeping"........ but I *have* slept with men..... you can't

Maybe you should get some facts before you gob off Andy.

Otherwise you're going to spend the rest of your life putting bandaids

Peter,

To each his own.

I *very* much like being a man, and could never *be* a woman..... but
there are men, and women, out there that are 'born in the wrong bodies'.

I have met 5 in my life.

I would suggest to certain people on this newsgroup that they watch a
few doco's on this condition before they make their bigoted statements.

Which is why he is suing. Unlwful dismissal through discrimination.

We *all* have that at one time or another. I was actually sacked from a
job because of 'downtime due to surgeries'. I took them to the
Industrial Relations Commision....... and I won.

That's understandable.

But most of the ex partners of the GR's I know have remained their
friends, not their partners.

Please answer honestly.

But just remember that homophobes are usually latent homosexuals
themselves.

Okay, I'm putting on my flame retardant suit again. Here are my views.
Basically, I don't understand the concept of gender transition (I kind of
like being a woman), but I'm open to anything anyone else does. To each his
or her own.........

Here in Florida, we have a political figure, Steve Stanton, that recently
openly came out and said he was going through a sex-change operation. He
was fired and he's now suing. Why should gender matter in a political
position if he's been doing a decent job? As if his ideas or policies going
to change? He/she is still going to have the same brain.

The only issue I see here would be possible downtime on his job due to
successive surgeries. And, I haven't heard too much about his wife and
family. I don't know if he and his wife are going to remain married or not.
Any surgeries, illnesses (and I'm not calling this an illness, just that it
takes time to recover from surgeries), or health issues in general take a
toll on a relationship, but, my concern is that you don't necessarily go
into a relationship expecting your significant other to undergo a gender
change, unless it was pre-disclosed and you're comfortable with it.

So, to summarize, I'm in a traditional male/female marriage, but whatever
anybody else wants to do is absolutely fine with me. I'm happy the way I am
and the way live. I would just want the same for everybody else. Everyone
deserves to be happy, to be loved, and have their desires fulfilled.

Not even recognized by lexographors... polymory is a made up word
adopted by psychopaths who do whatever suits themselves at the
moment. Apparently these totally untrustworthy sickos make up THE
"rules" as they go along, by whatever appeases their absolute self
centeredness. Simply put polymory is a "hooray for me, **** all of
yoose" attitude... so total a lack of maturity that in all liklihood
none are potty trained.

I'm gonna give this a shot, but you should feel free to ignore it
(not as though you didn't already feel free to do whatever you want,
I know).

I think it doesn't compute because you're conflating gender and
orientation. When someone wakes up in the morning and is a woman,
that is not entirely about loving men, is it? When you think of the
fact you're a woman, is it all about the fact that you're a
*straight* woman and love men? Isn't there more to being a woman
than the fact that people with dicks turn you on? If suddenly
tomorrow you awoke in a male body, would women suddenly start
looking really hot to you?

Do you see my distinction? You've been extremely rude to me in this
thread, but I am doing my very best to be civil about this part of
the discussion, because I do think you're missing an importand
distinction.

What's traditional about your lifestyle, Serene?

You're a disease spreading **** with married folks and whatever partners you
do and don't know about. That's sick.

It's a dirty twisted lifestyle, like it or not. You're certainly not to be
commended for it.

When you're 60, should you live so long, are you gonna be at peace with
blowing homeless men for a sip o' wine?

So you can cook. Big deal.
