Default chocolate fudge experiment failure

Thank you, Nancy. Figuring that I had nothing to lose, I slowly heated the
whole mess, added the rest of the can of condensed milk (1/4 cup) 2 T.
butter, a tablespoon water. When it was all melted I stirred it, poured it
back in the buttered pan, and it is at least edible. A little bit grainy
but edible. I am thinking that had I let it get a bit hotter the grains
would have all gone. Great flavor. I had not made chocolate candy for
probably 50 years, and you can bet next time I will do the buttered pan
thing as you suggest.
Jackie
