Dang. I am going to have to find some new fantasy material.
Pity. She was only 39.

Dora, Neither Marcel nor I ever heard of her. Should we have
recognized her name? On CNN, there is such fuss made over her
untimely death. I am sorry that someone so young, with a new baby
died, but I still have no idea who she is. RIP

She was a rather bizaare young woman about whom there has been much
publicity - drugs, Playboy bunny, marriage to an extremely wealthy man much
older than she. She was in the news a lot recently, since her son died
under strange circumstances at the time of the new baby's birth. Tragic
story, wasted life. The lurid details have been impossible to avoid on the
TV news.

You must live in a vacuum. She was a topless dancer, Playboy playmate. She
was stunningly beautiful and had a body to die for. She married an 89 year
old billionaire oil tycoon who died a year later. There was a huge battle
over his estate. She had a "reality" show about two years ago, which was a
real disappointment because she had put on about 100 pounds and when she
opened her mouth she betrayed her (former) physical beauty. She was in the
news again last summer when her 20 year old son died under mysterious
circumstances while she was in the room with him.

Nonsense. I think it quite sad ANS came to such a tragic end, but
people's perceptions of her had nothing to do with it. She was a
troubled soul long before she became a celebrity figure. No one made
her a public spectacle but herself. No one forced her to do the
TrimSpa thing. She certainly didn't need the money. You don't
frequent celebrity bashes and hang out at the Hollywood Cafe if you
want to be left alone. She was in the public eye because she chose
to.

Besides, if you feel you've been cheated out of your favorite
celebrity grotesque, you still have Courtney Love.

At least Anna Nicole was blessed with a good looks and an incredible body.
The only problem was that when she opened her mouth she sounded as dumb as
Courtney Love, but with a horrible accent.

You mean "eunuch"?

Anyway, your conclusion is horseshit. Not everybody knew who that set of
jugs was, and not everyone who knew cared. Not everyone cares who the
Playboy Playmates are, not everyone follows the advertising for any
particular brand of jeans, not everyone glues themselves to the idiot
box and watches endless hours of "reality television," not everyone hung
on each tabloid report of the antics of publicity-craving buffoons.

And not everyone will mourn the passing of that increasingly desperate
sack of hair.

Too bad about the baby she left behind, but this WILL settle the
paternity mystery.

Oh yes. Stunning. Unfortunately, she put on a LOT of weight before her
"reality" show and looks like a bloated cow, but when she was young and
pretty.... yes... stunning.

She reminds me a little bit of Jayne Mansfield. Jayne was stunning when
young (and also fairly talented, unlike Anna) but then later on Jayne
eventually lost it and became something of a joke. Jayne met her untimely
demise in a gruesome car crash in 1967. The way she was going, it was
almost a relief, she was truly on the skids...as her ex - husband husband
Mickey Hargitay said on an A&E "Biography" devoted to her, "In the end, only
Jayne could have helped herself...".

Mickey took custody of their kids by their marriage and they all turned out
pretty well, Mickey was a disciplined but loving father who instilled good
values in the kids. Jayne's great legacy is her daughter Mariska Hargity,
who is not only beautiful and talented, but has worked hard to get what she
has. She is happily married and has a baby son, and by all accounts is a
very nice person to be around. Jayne would be so proud, I hope she is up in
heaven smiling down...

Poor Anna just got in over her head, I feel sorry about her fate...

Margaret, my friend, you're probably better off not knowing. She is
remembered more for her surgically-enhanced bra size (hence Sheldon's
wisecrack) and marrying an 89-year-old Texas oilman, who died a year
after the nuptials.

If Hollywood ever makes a movie about her sad, weird life (and they
probably will), this song should be the soundtrack:
