I doubt that I could get it shipped here... ;-)

Central Market carries fresh caviar in various varieties during the
holiday season. They are in Austin.

I can get fish fresh enough for sushi right off the docks in Port-A, but
Central market should have that as well.

Having just got back from Sydney, one of the things I did whilst there
was to go to the 'famous' Sydney Fish Markets.

http://www.sydneyfishmarket.com.au/

If anyone ever goes there, don't eat at the Fish Market Cafe. $18 for 2
pieces of beer battered fish (Barra and Deep Sea Perch) was a bit much!!
Especially when they had 1/2 a lobster mornay with chips and salad for
$15.90!!

We got our seafood from DeCosti's.

http://www.decosti.com.au/home.htm

A side of Barra, 1/2kg of Scallops (no shells), a slab of Sashimi(?)
quality Tuna, 3 Bugs, and 1&1/2 kgs of green Prawns.

I ended up showing those damn furiners down there how to cook green
prawns... they thought it was the ducks guts!! LOL!!

1/2 were done plain in salted water, and chilled in the fridge
afterwards, and the other 1/2 was done as garlic prawns as an entree
with scallops that had been marinated in Sesame oil, a finely chopped
(and deseeded) small red chilli, and some lime zest..... and then pan
seared in a red hot frypan.

That, along with numerous bottles of imported Belgium and German beer,
after a long day of walking and shopping, *was* the ducks guts :-)

Why would you want to have salmon products sent to you from Australia?!
You live in USA, which has the salmon heaven: Alaska.

Judging from his show-off tone, this "antipode" moron seems to have
heavy chips on his shoulder. Fish and chips, to be exact...

On second thought, that was very rude and judgemental on my part. I
just wish our down-under friend spent less time bragging and more time
sharing ideas and information.

For example, I see all those huge live (but very expensive) "australian
crabs and lobsters" at the local Chinese supermarkets. What kind of
crabs and lobsters do they eat in Australia? How big do they get? How
much do they cost? How do they taste?

You can try but the problem is that you aren't allowed to take SPAM
with you on the plane: it's classified as a chemical WMD.

I guess, in oyur mind, making jokes about SPAM ham is inappropriate at
rec.food.cooking. I wonder why you would be so defensive about spam...
Oh, I know, because you love ot engage in whaqt amounts ot spam. As in:

Very fitting comment that you have made, especially for here in Oz. One

of the raghead muftis has just made claims that women are in the same
catagory as cats meat, and that they are at fault if they get raped.

http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,20652824-2,00.html

His reference to 65 years is what a group of Lebos got for pack raping
several women.

I apologise for having apologised. I was right initially: you are
indeed a moron.
