Default LIFE IS NOT SERIOUS (Part 1)

Y'know, there's one good thing about Google groups - there's an
automatic link to report spam and off-topic stuff.

If only Google itself paid any attention to spam reports.

Use the delete button. Use your kill file.

What's that have to do with anything?

Do you need me to spell it out for you? Use your delete button
or your kill file instead of reporting off-topic posts.

Is that clear enough?

Idjit. The point is, what good does a handy button for reporting things
to Google do if Google ignores them?

> Is that clear enough?

Apparently you're the one that needs stuff spelled out. It should be
evident that I don't use Google. What I do or don't do has nothing to
do with Google users do.

Is that clear enough?

No, the point is, let people post what they want and just click on past.
Asshole.

What is clear is that you are thinking in much more specific terms than
either you or Nancy were using in the pertinent posts.

We're talking unmoderated Usenet.

You don't need to REPORT everything, just grow a little self control.

Kind of the way you did my my post?

I was responding to some else's suggestion about reporting, telling
them that it was a waste of time. Are you really this stupid?

What are you babbling about. She said, "use this to report to Google."
I said, "Google doesn't pay any attention."

> We're talking unmoderated Usenet.

No shit, Sherlock. I've only been on it 15 years or so.

> You don't need to REPORT everything, just grow a little self control.

I don't report anything. I was counseling others NOT to waste time
reporting. You can't read for comprehension, can you?

It covers your ass. If some lawyer sues you for being in
league with the spammers, you can demonstrate that in fact you were
reporting the spammers all along.

So save copies of all those mails to google-abuse's blackhole,
just in case.

About right. The point is, those Google users (poor souls) are lulled
into thinking that they can help the situation. In fact, Google is the
leading spam vector on usenet today and they don't give a flying flip.

So, anyone who is interested in reading usenet on a regular basis
should avoid using google as their main news reader and think of it
only as a back up program or for research purposes only? I agree with
that idea.

What would you accomplish by doing this? Since spam is something that
comes in the mail?
