REC: Sugar-free Mojito
Made a couple of these this evening. Very good with spicy BBQ beef slices.
-= Exported from BigOven =- Low Carb Mojito This very popular Cuban drink has been de-carbed to suit diabetic diet plans. While it is low sugar it is NOT low-taste. Recipe By: Pete Romfh Serving Size: 1 Cuisine: Cuban Main Ingredient: Rum Categories: Low Sugar, Diabetic, Atkins-Friendly, Vegetarian, Vegan, Low Carb, No Cook, Snacks -= Ingredients =- 2 ounces Light Rum 1 ounce Lime Juice 1 teaspoon Splenda 2 sprigs Mint leaves 4 ounces Soda Water -= Instructions =- Place Splenda, a large pinch (2-3 leaves) of mint in a pint glass. Use muddler to lightly press mint and dissolve Splenda until it smells of spearmint gum. Add a splash of soda water Squeeze both halves of lime into the glass, leaving one hull in the mixture. Add rum, stir, and fill with ice. Top with soda water and garnish with mint sprig.
