Little Alexia was born on Nov 18 2009. 6lbs 12 1/2 oz. 20 inches long.
Sorry I didn't post this sooner...but we went away for Thanksgiving and
when we got back I came down with some throaty cough thingy...it's been
hanging on for a bit...Haven't seen "Lexi" since the day she got home
because of this stupid illness. I was there when she was born.....she had a
bit of a heart rate problem and they took Mom off the patosin(sp) ...but she
continued her labor without it...the baby did fine for about an hour then
the heart rate started to really take a dive.....luckily not long after Mom
started pushing and she was born...the cord was wrapped around her shoulder,
so that was probably the cause of the heart rate drop..every time she moved
she squeezed it. She is very healthy...her three BG tests were normal...and
Moms BG went back to normal the next day.....although she was told to be
checked yearly because I have Diabetes and with her Gestational
Diabetes.....there is a red flag floating.

Congratulations! To all of you. Wow about the baby's bg's. All of my GD
babies had low bg when born. Glad you could be there at the birth. I was at
my last grand daughter's birth, it was overwhelming. Another daughter was
there too - she had been present for her sister's (my youngest) birth 13
years ago as well.

Congratulations Jacquie!!! I'm glad mother and daughter are doing well, and
hopefully the grandmother gets over the throat thingy quickly. :-)

Woo-hoo Congratulations What a pretty name, too. Glad
everyone's doing well, hope you're feeling better too and have got
some cuddles in by now!

Yes I am finally over the bug. Lexi and her parents came visiting today...it
was so nice to hold her. She has been for check ups twice now and is doing
very well.
